Gen is a Kyoto-based organizer dedicated to sharing the beauty and depth of traditional Japanese music, with a special focus on wagakki (Japanese instruments) such as koto, shamisen and shakuhachi. We curate intimate concerts in historic venues across Kyoto, offering audiences—both local and international—a unique and immersive cultural experience. Our mission is to preserve and evolve the legacy of Japanese musical traditions by connecting artists and audiences across generations and cultures.
